I always claim that I'm not capable of screaming, but, I don't think I have EVER screamed so much, or so hard in my entire life. I will admit that I was cautious/wary/scared, of what kind of concert this was going to be like.. what with Camp Rock added into the whole equation. But my eyes have been opened, and I feel like if I went back, and never bought my concert ticket.. I surely would have regretted it. This day has been just over a year in the making, but SO worth it. The clock/countdown thing came up on the screen, and then the boys came out, and "Feelin' Alive started.. I lost my mind. The boys were looking like models out of GQ or something, my camera couldn't come out quick enough. It was a great show overall.. I got to enjoy some of my favourites live, which was a bonus. "Year 3000" in all its double rainbow glory, "Please Be Mine" and the cute slideshow, and "Wouldn't Change A Thing".. my obsession from the CR2 soundtrack. "Introducing Me" was probably the most entertaining to watch.. Joe challenged him to the usually 3 minute song, in 2 minutes 17.5 seconds (as such a time exists). He did it, with three seconds to spare. Nick did it super fast. I was so proud.. and dizzy.
But I'm pretty sure people can agree with me when I say that, the highlight of the night was when the boys (and Demi), came out and performed "Bounce". It was amazing! They were decked out in theirs outfits and everything, I was lucky enough to get most of it on tape :)
It may have rained. Hard. It may have been a mission to find my seat. It might have been awkward to be surrounded by people, who were probably judging me. It might have taken everything in me, not to burst into tears when those boys came onto the stage.. I really wish I could describe how happy I was to be in that room. I am so grateful for everything they do, and have done for me. And although, I didn't get "Can't Have You" like I was really hoping I would, I still feel like I got so much more. They may not be as great as the songs that people have heard at their respective concerts, but I don't care. Before yesterday, I had never heard some of those songs live.. now I can say so. Seriously, I feel like I could go ON and ON and ON.. but here were some highlights:
HIGHLIGHTS:
- When both Demi and the boys expressed how Toronto is special to me. Both Camp Rock movies were filmed here, and Nick wrote both "Bounce" and "A Little Bit Longer" during his stay here.
- Nick performing "Your Biggest Fan", and rapping. Cue swooning hardcore. Then he changed the lyrics to "A summer like no other, you're my Toronto baby." I died.
- A snippet of "Got Me Going Crazy" and an acoustic performance of ALBL <3
- Getting really good shots of Demi, courtesy of the big screens.
- For some reason, my camera was gravitating towards Nick, when my whole objective was, to get as many pictures of Joe as I could.
- When Demi got into "Remember December", and knocked off her mic. She was too cute.
