It is officially 2011. 2010 was a pretty great year when I think about it, but this new year has so much potential. I turn eighteen this upcoming summer, and I will finally be legal. College awaits my arrival in September, and that scares me like you wouldn’t believe. Yet, I am excited. It’s important for me to take this year by the horns, and just be more fearless. Develop my confidence, stop being so shy, and be the superstar that Lady Gaga says I am. Nick Jonas stated that 2010 was the year of no fear, but I believe that every year should be like that. No fear. More risks. No regrets.
I started the year outside, walking the streets with my family. We were supposed to attend a midnight mass, but things didn’t exactly work out. As soon as the clock on my phone said 12:00am.. January 1st, 2011.. I started to hyperventilate a little bit. The announcement that I was waiting days for, was finally out. Born This Way. This sneaky bitch had been teasing us all day! It may have only been a picture, and some dates, but I was satisfied, and couldn’t have asked for a better kick off to my 2011.
There are so many things that I would love to accomplish this year…I’m honestly so tired of making a resolution for the new year, and never sticking to it. Instead, I created a list of things that I would love to see crossed off throughout the next 365 days:
- meet a celebrity
have my first alcoholic drink- visit New York City
- expand my CD collection
- learn more Japanese
- get inked
- get a job
- procrastinate less
- catch up on Gossip Girl
- buy all the seasons of WOWP
- save more
- own a pair of heartbeats
- get my G1
- see Taylor Swift in concert, this summer
- buy a shot glass
- learn how to walk in heels
- receive an acceptance letter from my dream college
