holy betrayal.

Let's talk about how I somehow knew that something Gaga related was going to happen today... I mean, all the signs were there. "Judas", the second single by Lady Gaga, "leaked" in full today. In fact, it has been released four days earlier than intended. The kicker is, coincidentally, Judas betrayed Jesus four days before Easter, and now Gaga betrays her fans by releasing the song earlier than she said it would. This is a performance art piece, if I ever saw one, and I want to commend her on her true genius, because I definitely did not see something like this coming at all.

It took me awhile to cave in and listen. For one, I was slightly afraid. Sometimes, you just don't know what to expect from this woman, and I honestly was worried about Judas getting the same criticism that Born This Way got when it released, nearly 2 months ago. But I guess that's inevitable, because after all, this song is connected to religion, and that can be a touchy subject for most. I was also waiting for iTunes to update their database, so that I could buy the song, and sync it straight to my iPod. Lady Gaga songs just happen to sound amazing on my new headphones; love when the bass is a-thumping.
Now onto the song, in general. The beat is great, definitely a sledge hammering feel to my brain, that welcome with open arms. I really love how catchy it is, as a whole, and the bridge is top notch.
In the biblical sense, I am beyond repentance. Fame hooker, prostitute wench, vomits her mind.
That's probably my favourite part of Judas, apart from the Judah Gaga chant featured throughout. In my honest opinion, I was slightly indifferent about the song... I know that I prefer Born This Way more, and (even though it is Bad Romance 2.0..) I do not believe that it is better then Bad Romance, because BR was just amazing on so many levels. But of course, most times I don't get into a song right away, and it usually takes endless replays for me to fall in love, let alone tolerate. So we'll see how I feel a couple days from now.

But with all that in mind, I think I just might be in love with Judas, baby.

PS. Did we all catch the "ew", just before the bridge started? Haha, so cute.
