I can now solidify all of my thoughts concerning the Kids Choice Awards as a whole, and the fact that it is basically rigged every single year. I never did get a chance to win, but it seems as though it wouldn't have made a difference anyways. The show really disappointed me, but I guess that wasn't really a surprise... I mean, Karate Kid over Harry Potter? Black Eyed Peas over the Jonas Brothers? Katy Perry over Miley, Selena, AND Taylor? Sure, who am I to say that someone doesn't deserve an award? But I can still state my disagreements, and I have quite a few.. as you can see/read. Besides the winnings, I was also let down by the musical aspect of the show. Three lackluster performances; I like Willow Smith and all, but I really could have done without seeing Black Eyed Peas and Big Time Rush. It was just boring, and nothing really new or exciting. At least, I could say that last year was better in that way. And on top of all this, there was all of that slime. The KCAs would not be the KCAs without slime, but I'm still not a fan of it. But I guess the show wouldn't have been the same without it..
Personally, I think the only highlights for me were: Selena Gomez winning Favourite TV Actress (for a third year in a row), Miley Cyrus winning Favourite Movie Actress, and iCarly winning Favourite TV Show at the end of the night. Clearly, I'm getting too old to appreciate this award show any longer. Who knows if I'll keep watching.. the TCAs appeal more to me, anyway.
