stay strong.

Reading about everything that Demi went through, and did to herself, because of all her insecurities, just breaks my heart. I'm so proud that she finally got help, because I never imagined that things were that bad for her. It's not an easy thing to confront your demons head-on.

Like she sings in "Believe In Me":
The mirror can lie, doesn't show you what's inside. And it, it can tell you you're full of life. It's amazing what you can hide, just by putting on a smile.
We have probably known that something was fishy, but nothing was really confirmed until Demi entered rehab for treatment. All those times that she seemed mad at concerts? She was probably cranky from not eating, or just feeling really depressed. I think that was one of the biggest shocks for me to read. The severity of Demi's condition, and to learn that she's actually bipolar. That's something that I would never except, especially because she is one of the nicest girls out there. The whole Joe situation didn't help matters either...

But I'm interested in seeing how Demi ultimately works towards getting better, and putting her life back together. For one, reaching out to Selena was fantastic. I would have hated to see such a great friendship be destroyed so easily, without any sort of solution. Secondly, I am beyond excited to hear some new music. I'm sure we'll hear a lot of growth since the last album. A lot has happened, and as long as Demi keeps looking at her tattoos (when put together, her wrists spell out "Stay Strong" with a heart at the end), and understands how much her fans truly love and support her... I believe that things will get better for her :)
